Thursday nights in Nîmes during the summer are very special. They are
when everyone gets together to drink wine, eat delicious food, shop at
the craft stalls around Maison Carrée,and listen to live music at various venues around the town.
The Maison Carrée is a Roman building right in the centre of Nîmes, which has been reinvented several times in its history, from temple to museum to cinema, which it appears to be now. Its an amazing place.
As the daylight fades the stalls light up with all kinds of interesting crafts on display.
There are all kinds of musicians around the town, all playing till well after midnight. Time flies by!!
