After an uneventful crossing, we proceeded to go in several circles looking for cheap French diesel,
thereby considerably shortening Pete's life yet more, before arriving in Albert on The Somme.

Lots to see, mainly WW1 stuff.

Australian, Canadian and English soldiers all buried here and in other war cemeteries in the Somme.
Not sure any of them really knew what was happening, and all so young too, poor souls.
Then we found a great place to eat in Albert.
Very busy, with good food and a real character of a landlord !
Well recommended and we'll definitely come again on the way south.
